Mike Maliszewski is a clinical psychologist who has treated clients internationally specializing in treatment of people over 55 years of age in areas of pain management, holistic treatment interventions and enhanced meditation techniques.. He received his Ph.D in psychology from the University of Chicago. He has held academic and research positions at the University of Chicago and Harvard Medical School over the course of 30 years. While residing in Chicago, he developed the largest single site behavioral medicine program which treated over 20,000 headache patients annually from all parts of the world. He was affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School for over 20 years.
Dr. Maliszewski has a holistic orientation with strong interests in nontraditional healing systems and meditation traditions in addition to working with elderly adult populations. He has been involved in the study and experience of advanced meditation practices for over 45 years. He has traveled throughout Asia studying body disciplines, healing systems and meditation traditions found in the countries of China, India, Tibet, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and the Philippines.
He has interacted with scholars and teachers of these traditions in the form of research collaboration, writing, and lecturing internationally. Current areas of specialization include geriatrics, unorthodox healing and advanced meditation experiences as part of an active clinical practice.
